Marketing Has Lost Its Soul

Ugh, we all see it. We spot it from a mile away, marketing just so….. marketing. It’s gross. I think we’ve all experienced it enough to know when it is the same soulless regurgitated AI copywriting, generic and bloated with keywords but void of meaning. You don’t have to add to that fluff. Or really, what I feel is the downward spiral of the internet.

Burn the Old Playbook: It’s Time for Honest Marketing

We can do better! We can have human-centered content design that is both purposeful and has substance.

Sooner or later, those tricks aren’t going to work. Building long term trust is going to win. Long-term trust only works when it’s built on honesty and real value. So why not start there? Also, the next generations aren’t falling for it. Have you ever looked at advertising from the 1950’s and wonder how advertisers thought that messaging would work? Well, it did work. For a while. But people wise up. So give your brand a leg up, begin with creating something that actually helps your audience, earns trust, and builds your business with integrity.

Design for humans. Not algorithms.

I build websites that are simple and intuitive. When someone is looking for your service, they want to find how to contact you and what you are about and not have to wade through a ton of marketing speak and a drawn out game. I know I’m not alone but I personally hate as a consumer if I have to scroll for 3 minutes to be taken to a vague call-to-action or multiple sales pop-ups before I even know if I want to work with you. Be smart. Design for humans and humans will not just click off your site.
